gym thoughts

We used to get our workout from actually how we sustained ourselves.

We used to have to hunt and fight bears to survive. “Forage” for food. Pretty sure a lot of us would not survive that era right now.

I’ve spent some time having to learn how plants look, smell, feel…

I remember reading in a book. It talked about plant behavior. Not only author experiences but how to get a plant to talk to you.

I have a friend who so genuinely friendly, she can charm nettle not to sting.

And I also remember reading about how plants “feel”. They’re texture, they’re mood;

Weirdly the book was about plants but taught me so much about the heart.

How our hearts put out hormones. They hold memories before the brain does.

They’re imprints! Memories are a stamp of an event that gets left behind like the sunken seat of a couch. The race and weight of that beat of your heart determines how significantly you will remember that.

Imagine when in life your heart is beating out of your chest, when you can’t hear it in your ears!?

When is it soft and rested? These variable contribute or how much you’ll remember something in life.

It almost made me think, we have a physical “target heart rate variability”. What about our emotional ones?

What if we had a scale to measure what sequences of events in my daily life trigger my heart going fast? Or going slow? Do I have a resting heart rate at my computer or is it racing?

What’s stressing my heart?

And in turn what soothes it. So I spent a few days putting my hand on my heart and taking my bp through out the day. I wanted to know what it felt like when my heart was beating “happy” or “stressed”, maybe sad or angry? How hard and fast does my heart beat through out the day and why? What memories am I keeping?

That book of course talked about the network system around the heart and body.

And often how that network system could be read by plants.

We know a dog can feel your mood. It can tell when your angry or sad, definitely when we are happy bc we play with em then!

But what if plants could read you!

Scope you up and down and know your intentions long before you pluck it or brush past.

Hence helping you check your mood and network before harvesting, to stimulate growth and to generally TALK to plants. ?

And how by talking to a plant and even give it a minute, if you smooth enough, you can get a plant to change its photochemistry for you.

“Daaaaaang! You got plants out here changin’ fo you! Sshhyeah!”
