How do you get people to care?
I was excited to understand that a colleague was feeling the same. Great friend of mine, a baker who had been running everyday since for at least five years. And she told me that like two years ago.
But I admired her dedication. She’d tell me about her morning jog and I could remember waking up at the same time seeing the same amazing sunrise for a second from my bed before I retreating to the cozy nest I had made in the bed. She was out basking in it. I’d remember when I did, the morning fog being whisper away as the daylight touched them. She ran the Boston marathon or one of those amazing famous races with thousands of people.
Imagine that feeling. Being surround by people in mass movement, after this year many of us have felt that with protests and secret parties where we felt the elation of going out and doing something together. Not just football in the park- which I tell you disappointedly I have not seen a lot of that lately.
But when you’re with strangers.
For Four years, I have been teaching visitors how to care about the great city of KC
I made a vegan love us. Plants are pretentious by nature, standing tall letting the sun shine on them and that’s their whole job.
If you haven’t figured out how your behavior mimicked what you eat-you’re late.
And if you’re not hearing this in jest in your head, do.
But in ways it is true. It’s true when we have amazing ideas that are “healthy” we resist. I think it’s the actual word “healthy”.
I’m amazed at how we are from what I know of, the only species that will make choices towards our own demise for no particular good reason at all. Even a Luna Moth has sex before she dies.
The issue is they’ve got us all caring about everything else that we don’t take time to find the one thing that we do care about.
Our purpose.
When we care about everything else, we end up not caring at all but just watching.
And anyone who HAS felt the impact of making an impact will tell you – you have to do it first.
The have to SEE it.
